1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

South-East Queensland (SEQ) Chauffeured Cars, its Subcontractors and staff may from time to time refuse to carry any person(s) without giving reason.

It is the customers / passenger’s responsibility to read the FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS, confirming a booking confirms you accept and are bound by the TERMS & CONDITIONS.

SEQ Chauffeured Cars, its Operators and Licensees, have no responsibility for costs or losses including missed flights or travel connections, resulting from diversion, substitution, alterations, cancellations, delay’s or booking errors. It is the customers responsibility to advise of any changes as full costs will be charged.

Passengers must comply with all laws and regulations in the state they are travelling and with the instructions of SEQ Chauffeured Cars and its Operators and Licensees.

SEQ Chauffeured Cars carries full Public Liability Insurances. SEQ Chauffeured Cars will not be held responsible for loss or damage to luggage or goods, for delays, or other loss of any kind, arising directly or indirectly from negligence or omission or some other cause in connection with provision or non-provision of any services and will not be liable for inaccuracy in any information concerning transport services or its prices.

  • BOOKING ALTERATIONS

Any changes to your booking after confirmation can only be accepted subject to availability. SEQ Chauffeured Cars reserves the right to charge any additional fees in respect of any alterations to your booking where additional charges are unavoidable. SEQ Chauffeured Cars reserves the right to change selected vehicles from time to time subject to availability.

  • FOOD & BEVERAGES

Food & beverages including Alcohol, but excluding bottled water, are not to be consumed in any vehicle.

  • BOOKING SURCHARGE

Credit card surcharges may apply at the discretion of the local Customer Service Centre at which the service has taken place. Direct Bookings made through SEQ Chauffeured Cars will not attract Credit Card Surcharges.

  • PAYMENTS & TRANSACTIONS

All Bookings purchased with a credit card either online or over the Customer Service Hotline, agrees to make payment in full at the time of making the booking regardless of the travel dates, unless otherwise stated by a member of our team.

  • CUSTOMER SAFETY

Our drivers/chauffeurs will always drive according to the legal speed limits and traffic directions in the state of travel. Where traffic, weather and current road conditions are unsafe, the driver reserves the right to delay travel or take alternate routes without notice and without the customer’s prior consent. The driver may also deny access to a venue they feel may put the passengers and vehicle in an unsafe situation, or at risk of damage.

  • COVID 19

We hold the health and safety of our passengers/customers at the highest priority. We wipe down all surfaces after every passenger and when required by the Health Directives in the individual states and Local Government Areas, will enforce that all passengers wear masks when required unless they have a medical certificate for an exemption. All our vehicles carry the State Governments QR code logins and require all passengers to login when entering the vehicles. 

  • DAMAGE TO VEHICLES CAUSED BY CUSTOMERS

The Customer is liable for any charges by SEQ Chauffeured Cars in respect of any damage caused to a vehicle due the customers instructions or any directions you give to the driver. The driver reserves the right to evict any customer/passenger from the vehicle due to any inappropriate or dangerous behavior. No refund will be offered in these circumstances.

  • EXTENSIONS AND CHANGES IN TRANSIT

The customer is responsible for any additional charges by SEQ Chauffeured Cars, its Operators or Licensees, in respect of extra time spent at an event that changes are made to the original booking, either by the booker or passenger. This includes any extra charges where you choose to extend the duration of your booking and/or add additional stops to the original booking.

  • PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL CHARGES

In the event of extra charges or extensions (refer to Extensions and Changes in Transit above) the passenger is to immediately pay the extra charge to the driver upon completion of transfer. Additional charges can be charged back to your SEQ Chauffeured Cars Corporate Account or a credit card if this was used to secure the booking originally.

  • INSURANCE

SEQ Chauffeured Cars and its drivers are insured for passenger travel under the Booked Car Hire Services Regulations and Ride Share Regulations. This insurance is for public liability and NOT travel insurance. Although every effort will be made to ensure the safe keeping of personal property, we do not accept liability for loss or damage of personal items. Please check that you have sufficient coverage for any personal property that is brought into our vehicles.

  • LOST AND FOUND

SEQ Chauffeured Cars will not take liability for any lost or misplaced personal property. In the event the customer leaves personal items in any of our vehicles, SEQ Chauffeured Cars, its subcontractors, and its staff, shall try to deliver any items back to the Customer or the item/s may be collected from our office directly. Delivering back to our customers may be by the driver, or a postage or freight company at the customer’s expense.

  • LUGGAGE AND BAGGAGE

Please take careful note and consideration while booking our vehicles, please note with each vehicle the average capacity of small and large luggage carrying capacities. Customers should consider booking a larger vehicle with trailer if they have more luggage than a sedan can accommodate. If you have any concerns or are unsure, please give us a call, or leave a special note in the booking form when booking and we can call you to confirm. Additional luggage transfer will incur further cost to the client. No suitcases will be transported inside the passenger area of the vehicle due to transport regulations & safety regulations.

  • ADDITIONAL PICK UP AND DROP OFFS

Additional charges will apply for all extra pickup/drop offs required unless already quoted at the time of booking.

  • ON TIME

SEQ Chauffeured Cars will take every reasonable safeguard to achieve an on-time service, however in the unlikely event of our drivers/chauffeurs being late due to circumstances outside of its control, no liability will be accepted by SEQ Chauffeured Cars, its subcontractors or its staff.

  • PETS

No Pets are permitted in any of SEQ Chauffeured Cars. The exception of “guide, care or hearing dogs’’ is allowable. This must be noted at the time of booking and a blanket/mat must be provided by the passenger travelling.

  • QUOTATIONS

Prices are always current at the time of enquiry but will be subject to availability at the time of booking. Our quoted prices will always include GST. SEQ Chauffeured Cars, without notice, may pass on any increases that may occur with any applicable airport charges, road & bridge tolls, entry fees or parking charges. Airport delays on location waiting regarding airport pickups, SEQ Chauffeured Cars will monitor Flight times in conjunction with its waiting time rules. If passengers are delayed after arriving at the terminal, additional fees may apply for each additional 5 minutes or part thereof subject to the time that fall outside of our standard waiting time rules below.

  • SEAT BELTS

Under Australian laws, it is compulsory that all passengers wear seat belts where fitted at all times when the vehicle is in motion. SEQ Chauffeured Cars drivers will not begin a journey until every passenger is safely seated with a seatbelt buckled.

  • SMOKING or VAPING

Smoking and Vaping is not permitted by state law in any SEQ Chauffeured Vehicle. Charges will apply, at the discretion of the driver/chauffeur or SEQ Chauffeured Cars, if any passenger is found to be smoking in any SEQ Chauffeured Vehicle, or SEQ Chauffeured Cars service-providers’ vehicle.

  • SPECIAL EVENTS BOOKINGS

Either full payment or a deposit is required for Special Occasions such as, but not limited to, Weddings, School Formals, Sporting Events and Concerts. If a deposit has been made, full payment is required prior to the date of the event. Surcharges may apply to such events. Credit card details are required to secure all bookings. Special events can not be booked via the website. You must contact out customer service personnel to obtain quotes for Weddings, Formals, Tours or any other booking that would be considered outside of a point to point transfer.  

  • SUBCONTRACTING

SEQ Chauffeured Cars reserve the right to use the services of other approved hire car/limousine/bus service providers as required. These operators have been pre-qualified by SEQ Chauffeured Cars and deemed to be of a sufficient quality to provide services on our behalf.

2. CANCELATION POLICY

Cancellation charges will apply when:

  • Cancellations are made with less than 1 hours’ notice prior to the dispatch of any vehicle.
  • Cancellations are made with less than 24 hours’ notice for minibuses, buses, or coaches (8 seats and above).
  • Bookings where the passengers fail to arrive or contact the driver/chauffeur or the local SEQ Chauffeured Cars Customer Service Operator.

Special Cancellation Policy applies for Weddings and Events.

NOTE: Our website and customer booking systems are not integrated. On some occasions where you book online and the selected vehicle is already booked, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. In this instance any payments received will be refunded in full.

3. COMPLIMENTRY WAITING TIMES

SEQ Chauffeured Cars offers industry-standard complimentary waiting time for all bookings.

Complimentary waiting times are applied as follows:

  • We offer up to 10 minutes complimentary waiting time at homes, hotels, or other non-airport pickups.
  • We offer up to 30 minutes complimentary waiting time at Domestic Airport Terminals.
  • We offer up to 60 minutes complimentary waiting time at International Airport Terminals.
  • We offer up to 30 minutes complimentary waiting time at Cruise Ship Terminals.

Waiting times outside of the above complimentary waiting times are charged in 5-minute increments once any complimentary waiting time has been exhausted.

A fee of $8.00 Inclusive of GST is charged for every 5-minute increment or part thereafter. 

Waiting time rates apply to ALL SEQ Chauffeur accounts, as well as individual bookings via the SEQ Chauffeured Cars website.

*All flights are tracked via radar and complimentary waiting times only begins from the moment the plane lands, regardless of any flight delays.

4. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Some surcharges may apply on public holidays, check with the Customer Service Centre when making bookings. Typically, surcharges will be incurred on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day in most cases. Surcharges will not always apply on other public holidays.

5. AFTER HOURS SURCHARGES

A Surcharge applies for all vehicle type bookings that begin between midnight and 05:00am.
If a booking begins prior to midnight and continues past midnight, the portion of the journey that continues past midnight will incur the surcharge.

6. CHILD RESTRAINTS

As SEQ Chauffeured Cars is classified as a pre-booked service, there is an expectation under the law that there is sufficient notice for a child restraint to be fitted, unlike the nature of taxi services.

Therefore, all children under the age of 8 years must be seated in a Baby Capsule, Baby Seat or Booster Seat as determined by Australian Law.

The standard booking fee per child restraint is as per your booking pricing.

7. LIMITS OF LIABILITY

Maximum liability, if accepted, will be limited to a refund for the trip in question. All care will be taken, but no liability will be assumed. No claim for liquidated damages, consequential loss for any other costs will be assumed.

8. PRIVACY POLICY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

www.seqchauffeuredcars.com.au is the website of South-East Queensland Chauffeured Cars. By using this site and/or the individual Customer Service Centres, you agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. The Privacy Policy relates to the collection and use of personal information you may provide to us through your contact or on the website. Your continued use of our website and its facilities constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions. SEQ Chauffeured Cars believes the information on and within the website is correct and disclaims any liability and responsibility for any direct or indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by any customer relying on anything contained in our website or publication.

  • USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your personal information is used for the hiring of SEQ Chauffeured Cars services and used for that purpose alone. By entering the SEQ Chauffeured Cars secure website booking facility, you understand that all information provided by you is your sole responsibility and SEQ Chauffeured Cars accepts no responsibility for any incorrect information provided in respect to the hiring made through this facility. It is not given to a third party except where the purpose relates to fulfilling the obligations of your hiring. Your personal information may be retained for use in future bookings. If at any time you believe the information is incorrect, you may contact us to have it corrected.

Credit Card details are stored securely for the purpose as outlined in our terms and conditions of hire. SEQ Chauffeured Cars staff are obliged under the Confidentiality Deed to keep personal information secure.

  • DISCLOSURE

SEQ Chauffeured Cars may be obliged to surrender your personal information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with the applicable law. Personal information may also be disclosed to identify, contact, or bring legal action against anyone damaging, injuring or interfering with our rights or property.
